The Lifton Courthouse
The Lifton Courthouse Bar was formerly the old police station and Court and it still retains the original cells complete with bars over the windows. With its exposed natural stone walls, it has great character and a lively atmosphere being the focal point of village life. It was given an extensive facelift in 2008 and now serves delicious home cooked food under the direction of our Head Chef Steven Pidgeon. We have a menu with your pub favourites as well as a regularly changing 'Specials Board' with exciting meat, game, poultry, and fish dishes. We serve well kept local and regional real ales and also have a great value list of wines available by the glass and bottle.
We use the same local suppliers for our food in the Courthouse Bar. Our beef, lamb, pork and poultry are all supplied by Phillip Warren of Launceston.
Children and well behaved dogs are welcome. They, like all our guests, can be sure of a warm welcome at the Courthouse Bar.
