Dartmoor National Park – Dartmoor became a National Park in 1951, comprising of 368 square miles or 954 sq km it is the largest and wildest area of open country in southern England. Throughout the year Dartmoor is an exceptionally beautiful place to visit, with deep wooded gorges, beautiful lake-like reservoirs and tumbling rocky rivers. There are miles of unspoilt spectacular scenery for all ages and abilities to enjoy.

Roadford Lake - With over 730 acres of water, Roadford Lake is a spectacular lake set on the edge of Dartmoor between Okehampton and Launceston. Visitors to the southern bank of the lake can enjoy miles of footpaths and a cycle way which winds its way through a newly planted forest overlooking the Lake.

Lydford Gorge - Is the deepest gorge in the South West with a spectacular 30m waterfall. Walk the woodland trails through a deep-cut ravine alongside the river Lyd and enjoy the abundance of wildlife and wild flowers.

Coastal footpaths – The South West Coast path national trail consists of 630 miles of superb coastal walking. From Minehead on the edge of the Exmoor National Park to the shores of Poole Harbour in Dorset it is the best way to enjoy the wonderful coastal scenery, wildlife and heritage. Fantastic for short walks and gentle strolls as it is for long-distance walking. The terrain along the South West Coast Path varies immensely.
