Buckland Abbey – This 700 year old building was the home of Sir Francis Drake. Situated in a secluded location in the beautiful Tavy Valley and rumoured to be haunted, this property is looked after by the National Trust. 22 miles by car.

Lydford Gorge – Is the deepest gorge in the South West with a spectacular 30m waterfall. Walk the woodland trails through a deep-cut ravine alongside the river Lyd and enjoy the abundance of wildlife and wild flowers. 10 miles by car.

Castle Drogo - Perched above the Teign Gorge with dramatic views over Dartmoor, Castle Drogo was the last castle to be built in England. This property also has the highest National Trust garden at 900ft. 29 miles by car.
