COURSE 1
Beginners' river and lake trout fly fishing
A four-day residential course for beginners of all ages.
Our most popular course. Complete beginners, handling a fly rod for the first time, can
come on one of these courses and be led gradually, stage by stage,
to the point where after four days they will be able to fish for
river and lake trout reasonably well by themselves. He or she
will be taught the basic casts, how to tie knots, how to choose
and assemble tackle, the flies to use, wet fly, dry fly, nymph
fishing-and something about the most important part of fishing
- rivercraft and water knowledge.

| *Prize giving for everyone who completes the course will be two
days' free trout fishing on the hotel water, either following
the course or at anytime during 2005 or 2006 and a free copy of
The Arundell Arms Beginners' Fly Fishing Guide. |
Tackle
There is no need to buy any tackle in advance. We provide all
the tackle you will need, including thigh waders. If you have
your own fly rod do bring it with you as it is much nicer to use
your own tackle, and we can advise if it is suitable.

Deposit
When booking would you please enclose a deposit of £200.00 per course participant. This deposit will be returned if you give us more than 31 days notice of cancellation.
