This course is designed for the sportsman or woman who has recently taken up stalking and is seeking further advice and guidance. The course will provide an insight into and a wider understanding of deer stalking techniques and deer management. The successful delegate will be awarded the Deer Management Qualifications Deer Stalking Certificate One and Large Game element of Wild Game Meat Hygiene requirements to meet the Food Hygiene regulations 2004.

Exceptionally well-equipped with expert instruction (grouse, high pheasant and skeet), we arrange clay pigeon shooting with Lower Lake Shooting Grounds in Cornwall, which is about a half-hour's drive from the hotel. Lessons per hour include 100 cartridges and 100 clays.

A comprehensive, one-day course on rifles and rifle shooting. The morning will be spent with a lecture and presentation on the safe handling of rifles, calibre choice for given application, UK firearms law, cleaning firearms and much more. The afternoon will be spent on a local range, starting with the use and shooting of rimfire rifles, incorporating practical shooting positions to give you confidence and experience when in the field. The afternoon will finish with shooting deer-calibre centre-fire rifles.
This course is ideal for those wishing to get into rifle shooting or for those thinking of applying for their Firearms Certificate (FAC). It is also a good choice for those about to undertake their DSC Level 1 Deer Management Qualification. The course fee includes rifle use and all ammunition.
